Research on the finite element modeling of Newtonian and Viscoelastic flows at UCLouvain / EPL (formerly « FSA »). Research lead to a thesis :
Numeric Study of Free Surface Newtonian and Viscoelastic Flows
More than 20 years experience as stress engineer in aerospace industry. Work involves the modeling of structures for Nastran or Samcef solver, defining the load cases, running the analyses, post-processing FEM results, and reporting. Work also involves test activities (structure static and vibration qualification tests) and support to production and client.
Expert in the development of post-processing projects using FeResPost. In particular, FeResPost has been used in industrial projects characterized by :
· Applications corresponding to space or aeronautic structures.
· The use of Nastran or Samcef finite element solvers.
· Calculations involving the post-processing of modal analysis (Nastran SOL 103), linear static analysis (SOL 101), non-linear (SOL 106 and SOL 400), buckling (SOL 105), dynamic response (SOL 111) and optimization (SOL 200) results.
· Calculations involve the sizing of metallic parts, connections, sandwich panels, composite parts…
The use of FeResPost reduces the risk of errors and saves a lot of time by avoiding repititive tasks. The use of this library has even allowed to automate the writing of some parts of the reports.
A library devoted to the automated post-processing of Nastran and Samcef results. The programming languages that are supported are :
· Ruby,
· Python,
· VBA and C++ (COM component),
· .NET languages like C# and VB.Net.
FEM can be read from Nastran BDF or Samcef DAT files. Results can be retrieved from Nastran OP2, XDB and HDF5 files, and Samcef Results can be imported from DES/FAC files.
Post-processing projects involve the use of SQLite, excel, GMSH, HDF5 files and library…
